Xref Conrol Layers?

All,

I am about to use the Plan Production tools included with civil 3d to create about 15 sheets. Each Sheet will have its own drawing and xref the base file. Is it possible to set it up so that if I change any layer properties in the base it will up date the seperate sheet?
