custom addon applications

I am posting for a coworker.

My company uses a custom addon menu with pre-drawn objects.

in autocad mech 2008 we installed the addon and a new menu was added at the top.

in 2014 we tried the same thing.

now everytime we open autocad it asks if we want to use this, we click yes, nothing happens.

We cannot find out where the menu was added and why it asks everytime we open autocad if we want to continue using it.

any suggestions to make this work? is there a compatability issue? how to we get our pre-drawn objects into a nice easy-to-use menu?
