My morning rant: I've been waiting years for Autodesk to "properly" handle mirroring text in an xref. I do alot of multi family work and every project is the same - there is an A style unit that is mirrored 4 different ways. I have resorted to creating (and maintaining!) 4 different versions of an A unit just so the text handles properly. Undoubtedly I alway end up changing one of the A units and forget to update all the others so I end up with different A units. Kinda defeats the purpose of xrefs... tried mirrtext, attributes yada yada - I am not aware of a proper solution to this.
I would pay huge $$ for someone to write a tool to properly handle this. Autodesk - maybe you need to invent a new text entity. DO SOMETHING. Every consultant on every building project needs this ability.
