Subject: Upgrading my Windwos OS to Windows Vista - do I have to deactivate and uninstall AutoCAD 2012 (Student Version) and reactive and install?
I'm in the process of both upgrading my Windows OS from Windows XP Pro to Windows Vista (reluctantly) and installing a new hard drive. I currently have a valid, single-student license for AutoCAD 2012 on my current laptop.
1.) Do I have to deactivate it and then uninstall it before I wipe out Windows XP Pro, and then replace my current, old hard drive?
2.) Once the new hard drive has been installed along with Windows Vista, I will then proceed to install AutoCAD 2012 and activate it?
Thanks for the help,
Darren
