ReCap Application is not responding”

“Autodesk – ReCap Application is not responding”  Version 1.2.149.506

Can anyone please explain why or better yet, provide a solution for this issue.

Sequence of events:

Start,  ReCap – Click on New Project button. (slow getting to New Project dialog box).

Enter name for new project – click proceed.

Select files dialog box – select one or two ( *.LAS ) files.

Click Index scan button -  runs to approximately 10 to 15% complete, then just hangs up.  (Hard disk seems to be heavily accessed.)

My system details:

OS: Windows 7 – 64bit, Enterprise, SP1,

CPU:  Intel –Xeon E5-1650 @3.20 GHz.

Ram:  16 GB

Other applications running:  McAfee Enterprise Ver. 8.8  (Cannot be disabled, locked down by administrator, and “Non-Negotiable”.)
