AutoCAD 2014 - Alt-Menu Shortcuts Extremely Slow Compared to AutoCAD 2011

Hello,

As the thread title states, I have recently transitioned from AutoCAD 2011 to AutoCAD 2014 due to getting a new Laptop to replace my aging Desktop PC.  The Laptop is an HP ZBook with Windows 7 x 64-bit an Intel Core I7 4800MQ quad core, 16 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM and an Nvidia Quadro K3100M GPU.

I do mostly 2D work and use a LOT of Alt-Menu shortcuts and am noticing that despite this being a new and much more powerful machine, every time a drop down menu is accessed it takes 2-3 times longer than in AutoCAD 2011... i.e a very perceptible and rage-quittingly frustrating lag.

I have read all of the pertinent posts regarding 2014 Lag and have applied almost all relevant changes discussed therein.  This Laptop should be more than fast enough to run AutoCAD 2014 with NO hiccups and without degrading any performance however.  Since no one else seemed to mention using Alt-Menu shortcuts I decided to Post my problem and see if I can get any answers.

Thanks in Advance!
