Match orientation to layout when inserting an annotative drawing?

We have a DWG file (call it "A") that contains some basic geometry. AnnotativeDWG = 1 in this drawing.

Now start with a new empty drawing "B", and then insert DWG "A" w/o exploding it. It comes in as an annotative block, but how do you set the property "Match orientation to layout" = TRUE for that new block definition in DWG "B" ? I don't see a sysvar to control this.

I don't really want to create a block definition inside of DWG "A", since it will then be a nested block when inserted into DWG "B".
