Hello,
I'm new to AutoCAD and running into a problem I'm hoping someone can help with. I'm using AutoCAD 2014 (plain AutoCAD, not Map or Civil).
I set a drawing location using a map, and I set the GIS Coordinate system to FL83-EF, NAD83 (Foot), which I believe is Florida State Plane East (Foot), epsg:2236.
The coordinates displayed for the features are not the same as the coordinates I'm seeing for the same features using other software (particularly GPSExport). In GPSExport, the coordinates for one area of Key West are 387308.89, 81904.50. In AutoCAD, the coordinates for the same point are 386966.1935, 82344.1297. The discrepancy is larger for features in the northern end of the area covered by that coordinate system.
I noticed that the AutoCAD "latitude_of_origin" value (in pcs.csv) for epsg:2236 is 24.2. Other places (for example at http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/nad83-florida-east-ftus/ogcwkt/) have the value set to 24.33333333333333. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I was also curious about the difference in values.
Any help is appreciated.
