I am in the process of buying a desktop computer with the main reason being relearning autocad & solidworks. I used both these programs at university but for some reason never went into a job in the field afterwards. Its been 5 years now working in an admin office and i'm looking to pick things up where I left off but im feeling oretty apprehensive about my actual employability after all those years away from the field. Has anybody been in the same position who could offer advice on this matter?
The main point for this post however is to do with the specs I would need in order to run the programs mentioned earlier. If anyone could offer advice on that it would be great. I'm currently looking at:
AMD A8 6600K Quad Core 3.9GHz
8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
AMD 8570D Graphics card
1TB 7200RPM Hard drive
Are these acceptable? I have looked about online for the ideal specs of a cad machine and the results vary so im hoping one if you guys can heko me on this one.
