I have had this problem for a week or so now and none of the 'solutions' I can find on the web wiill work. I hace tried updating drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling etc. Tried the 32 bit version instead, still the same problem: The application downloads fine and shortcut appears on the desktop. I then go to open it, it seems to open fine but it is completely unresponsive and as soon as the application starts the error code appears..."LoadLibrary failed with error 87: The parameter is incorrect"
The same happens with SketchUp and pretty much any graphics orientated program I try to download. I know this should point to a graphics card problem but everything is up to date and seems fine.
Windows 8.1 Pro (upgraded from windows 8.0) 64 bit system. Could the upgrade to 8.1 be causing the problem? This is a computer I'm using temporarily which is owned by someone else and is a fairly new machine
