Compiling field data from multiple drawings?

I've created an object field / table in a drawing layout that calculates Square Feet of material. Is there a way to have multiple seperate drawing files compile a total SF to central field? Can I link the drawing object fields to Excell or does Adesk 2014 have an internal feature that will do this?

The object field is inserted into a table that allows me to enter the individual part quantity for a multiplier. Will that table create a problem in compiling my total SF for all the parts in the group?
