viewing profile created in tab in layout

hey guys im relativley new to autocad Civil 3D and am using the 2015 version, heres the issue- i have recently created a profile of a creek in model space, but when i switch to layout space it doesnt show the creek profile?? i am confused why it isnt showing the full profile...?? am i missing something here or not performing some procedural steps??
