Inserting a vertex to to a line object in the AutoCAD,

Inserting a vertex to to a line object in the AutoCAD,

I couldn’t figure out how a vertex is inserted to a line object in the AutoCAD.

I found out that there is a built in tool by which a vertex can be inserted to a polyline (attached) but not sure how this can be implemented to the line object. In other software like the ArcGIS, inserting a vertex is straight forward (attached)
