I am having an issue with selection using 3drotate.
I have some drawings where when I enter the 3drotate command, everything 2D disappears. Other drawings that even though my selection box is on a 2d object, if there is a 3d object's surface, NOT AN EDGE, in the area, it picks the 3D object over the 2D object even if in the "view" the 2d object is infront of the 3d object. It seems to me the command is changing the visual style or only allowing for 3d objects to be rotatable. Anyone know of this variable or how to change it?
I have searched the discussion board for an answer and only one post brought up the issue, sadly the post was solved with a work around using Rotate3D instead of 3Drotate. Personnaly I like Rotate3D, but for some of my users, the gizmo in 3Drotate is better for them to understand what they are doing, so I really need an answer to this question.
Furthermore, it seems to me Autodesk gave us a new command that is inhibited by it's "powers." And either they don't know or don't care. Maybe this post will help them better evolve their commands.
