Hatch Dialog Box Missing

I have looked around for a solution to this issue, yet none of the solutions that I have found appear to be working.

 

My issue is that the HATCH command will not opne up the dialog box for the command. This led me to checking the HPDLGMODE and setting that to equal 1 instead of 2 or 0. Despite changing this setting, the dialog box does not appear. CAD simply freezes whenever I type in HATCH.

 

This has been an issue for me in both the 2013 and 2014 versions of AutoCAD running on Windows 7 64-bit. I have also not run into this issue on my Windows 8 machine with AutoCAD 2014.

 

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi!

My issue is the following:

The file is attached

 

I am trying to remove hatch from left circle,

but I receive message

"Select boundary to remove or [Undo]:
Object selected is not a derived island."

 

Please explain me what does these magic words mean and what should I do to remove hatch.

Creating Oblique Images - Anamorphic

Ive being working with autocad for a few days now trying to figure out how to create oblique images. 

 

what i exactly want to do is, to place a 2D image and would like to look at it from the camera, while i look at it from the camera it should have a 3D perspective. 

 

I believe this is possible on AutoCAD but i cannot find any tutorial on on this nature.

i can't install Autocad due to this message "autodesk 360 instance detected"

I already unisntall all my autodesk product because suddenly autocad can't open in my macbook. Then i try to download back autocad 2015 on my computer but i can't proceed because of this message "A running instance of AutoCAD has been detected on your machine. Please close All existing instances of AutoCAD before the installation can continue". Could you please help me.

AutoCAD Instillation Error

Hello!

I have been trying to download the student version of AutoCAD 2015 but I keep getting this message [see attachment]

Thou Autodesk 360 and Autodesk ReCap that come with it download perfectly. 

 

I have tried multiple time to earase everything Autodesk related off my computer and starting over again but I still get the same message.

I cannot fgure out how to get the dimensions to show on my drawing. I use the DIMLINEAR commns. I select a point, then select another point and I expect to see the double lines jutting out from the drawing in some direction but nothing. I have attached a copy of the file. what am I doing wrong?

Create contour of image - Use as CNC Cut file

Hi,

 

I having an image (see attachment). Trying to find a easy way to get the contours from this one and then create a cut file for a CNC machine. 

 

Is there a way to do this, without having to draw every line manually?

 

Only having this image in low resolution.

Exception in acme.arx ARX Command

Hi.

 

When I try to open some DWG files in AutoCAD 2010 I get the error that is in attachment.

 

Exception in acme.arx ARX Command

Unhandled Exception FFFFFFFFC00000FD (c00000fdh) at address 77294EEAh

 

 

Sometimes we receive files in a newer version than 2010 and then we use DWG TrueView 2013 to convert to 2010 or older version. But recently we have some files that when we try to open we get this error and then AutoCAD crashes and closes.

We have already tried to save in 2010, 2004 and 2000 formats, but when opening we always get this error. The converted files open without problems in DWG TrueView.

 

We have already asked for someone with a recent version of AutoCAD to save it to some version we can open but we get the same error. Both original and converted files open well in newer version of AutoCAD and Trueview 2013.

 

This is happening in two computers with AutoCAD 2010. Both with Windows 7 64 bits.

We have already tested with administrator and non administrator users, same problem.

 

What tests can we do more to find the solution?

Moving AutoCAD network Licence server to new host

We're looking to move our network licence server to new hardware.  This will keep the same hostname, but have a different IP address.  Do we need to generate a new licence file? are there any issues that we need to be aware of?

Fatal Error 2014 Full and LT

Hi All,

We are experienceing a fatal error with a certain file. The error is occuring on both 2014 Full and 2014 LT AutoCAD when we try to open the drawing. We run windows 7 64 bit. The files are stored in a Solidworks EPDM "Vault" but this is the first issue of this kind with AutoCAD Files. I have tried windows systems updates, graphic updates, video card updates, turning off hardware excelleration, moving file to desktop out of the vault, deleting profiles and workspace settings and launching drawing recovery. Also tried increasing virtual memory to double that of the system ram. All have had no effect. There's also a different code that appears when we try and open from the vault compared to opening from the desktop. The codes are 

FATAL ERROR:  Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x3c2f1000 Exception at daff2b10h

FATAL ERROR:  Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x3cf91000 Exception at e0de2b10h

FATAL ERROR:  Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x39caa000 Exception at e01a2b10h

FATAL ERROR:  Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x3a4e1000 Exception at d8d52b10h

 

Other files do not seem to be affected. I appologize, but the file is too large to attach. It is 19MB

Annotative scales not changing in layout view.

I only use annotative labeling and objects in model space, most of the time. When I go to a layout, I do not adjust the scales, it is only for plotting. But I have now been tasked with someone elses drawing and the annotative labels in the layout are too small to read. There is a drawing that was brought into model space as an xref. Then there was a window created on a layout and some text and a legend added. I need to change the annotative labels on some buildings that are too small, but I cannot change the size in the layout view. I can select different scales in model (1:100, 1:60, etc) and make the labels larger/smaller, but I cannot modify how they are displayed in the layout tab view. They are the same size there, no matter what annotative scale I select in the model view.

Hi, I am having a problem with hatch scales. I have the hatches already drawn but when I put them to scale like my assignment states; 1",1/2" and 1/4", it does not scale them correctly. Any reason why this is happening?

Dynamic block- Visibility states manager issues

i am having an issue getting the Visibility states manager box to appear when trying to edit a block.

my AutoCAD locks up until i press escape

I am running AutoCAD LT 2014 with windows 7 64 bit

has anyone else ran into this issue?

is there an update of some sort that I have missed?

because i am not sure if it has just started giving me this issue, or it's just been a while since i have needed to do anything with visibility states.

Attributed Text not showing within tite block is outside of block editor

I have recently amended an existing block to add 2 new attribute definitions using the ATTDEF command. The problem though, is that although the new attributes have been created in block editor and have the same settings as the existing definitions, when the block is saved and viewed within the .dwt file, the new attributes do not appear visible.

 

The text attributes themselves are not visible within the layout tab, and the attribute fields (tag, prompt & value) are not visible in the 'enhanced attribute editor', does anyone know what would cause this to occur?

my CAD File won't open again

Good morning. I am a Naval Architecture Student and I am making this attached Project: it's a Boat looking like a Gothic Cathedral. for some reason I am unable to open it again, my Laptop does not have enough memory to open it. I am in Shock for this, months and months working for nothing.
I am looking for somebody who could help me please. how you could help me?
Please provide your e-mail address so I can Send you my File as I was unable to attach it here. Once you get the file:
1. Open the CAD file in your powerful computer
2. Zoom Extents to see the whole drawing
3. Turn on all the Layers
4. Delete all the floor plans on the second row (the mirrored halves) from Floater to Deck 21 and also the halves floor plans on the Right Bottom
5 keep the Halves on the first Row, the blocks library and also the wholes on the bottom left
6 purge drawing and turn off layers
