hatch spacing too dense - from tool palette only
I have a custom hatch pattern that works fine, but when launched/imported from the tool palette I get the "Hatch spacing too dense, or dash size too small." response.
The pattern is drawn to scale annotatively, so is initally quite dense as you cannot preselect annotative scaling on hatches in the tool palette (this is irritating in itself), but this isn't a problem unless launched from the tool palette. If I set the scale of the hatch to 1.65 it will work, but below that I get the error.

Any ideas on how I can fix this - I don't really want to go down the (Setenv "MaxHatch" ....) route, as these palettes are being rolled out to Autocad and LT users, and I don't know if LT users can do (setenv.. ) commands. Likewise I'd prefer not to have one patch importing at a different scale..

Manipulating OLE objects using VBA
I'm trying to make a routine that copies a table in excel and then pastes it on a layout on Autocad. Afterwards I want to obtain it's size and resize it according to the space I have. The first part of the routine is working but I'm having difficulties obtaining the Width and Height and resizing the object. How can I do this?

Insert Problems
On some drawings it is impossible to Insert or Paste objects / text / etc. and others it is perfectly fine. For the drawings which are problematic, when typing Insert the object(s) appear on screen; however, it disappears once the insertion points have been inputted.
This has nothing to do with simple layers being switched OFF or frozen, nor does it have anything to do with scales. This is simply puzzling me and it doesn't seem so simple to resolve. Even when you zoom out the program doesn't register any new object(s).
If anyone has had this problem and was able to resolve it, please share.

One layer is invisible only when during 2d wireframe view
I can see the layer in all the other views except 2d wireframe. I can see it in 2d wireframe while using the orbit command.

Double click mouse wheel and everything disappears
Everything disappears when I attempt to zoom out to extents, including the curser, zoom wheel and origin symbol. I attempted to find any object that may have snapped a distance away from the other parts but I am unable to find anything, I can't even get a grip to show up. I did manage to isolate it to which layer is associated with it, but thats about it.

Sketchbook Pro for iPad
Hi there,
My appologies if this is no he right place to post this. All these forums are always a real maze. I already contacted some Autocad resellers who pushed me here and there...
Sometimes ago I purchased SketchBook Pro for iPad. Currently it seems that this version is not anymore for sale on Apps Store hence not supported
There still Sketchbook Express and a new one called Autocad SketchBook with in app purchase.
My question is: " should I download this Autocad SketchBook and purchase again the pro add-ons to ensure that I'll benefit of future upgrade/update and bugs fix?"
It is writen somewhere that former customers got a coupon code to get this pro add on for free but since I purchased the inital SketchBook Pro I've change my email account linked to my iTunes hence whether as was informed or not I can't guess...

Edit Cell Range in Excel Data Link Table
Is there anyway to edit the cell range of an excel data link table after it's been inserted?
Fyi, the only way I could get the table in correctly (in order to have the header repeat) was to create a standard blank table first, select the first cell and import data link through there (I read how to do this on the forums, since that is not an intuitive task).
It'd be really nice if I could just recall the dialogue box "Modify Excel Link: "...", and just simply update the cell range (image attached).
From what I can tell my only option is to delete the table and reinsert. This is very combersume, since I have to modify the table height and width everytime after it's reinserted.
The table is just a simple drawing list, so there are no formulas or special formating.

2015 - 2016 crash when selecting options
I have searched this forum and have found an old link to potential fixes to this but its not resolving the problem.
Clean install of Autocad 2016 or 2015
Start up first time use
new drawing (Any template selected)
File> Options (Big A dispears top left)
Screen freezes, i can do nothing in the cad window, no cursor, i have tried signing out of all Autodesk products (360 etc) and have tried Alt+space+M and arrow keys to find if its an off screen item but nothing.
Task manager displays it as Not Responding
I have done repair and reinstall and a full removal and reinstall using the download manager for fresh install files.
Please help...i have 8 users stuck without being able to access their options.

Seeking recommendations for creating a custom "help" interface
I have gotten to a point in development where I have created enough custom tools and commands where it is now too difficult to document for end users via PDFs.
I wanted to get an idea of how any of you handle this. My best plan so far is to create a web application with ASP.Net which closely resembles the AutoCAD "help" interface. Is this a good approach or are there better options? Does Autodesk provide any useful templates or API to assist developers in this area?

How to load the ARX before click the dwg!
Double click the encrypted dwg before start the CAD application, the ARX application is not loaded.The encrypted dwg will Suggest to add password.
So, the encrypted dwg is readed before load the ARX.
But,if the CAD application is opened before click the encrypted dwg file, the user don't need to input password through the program.I know how to enter a password in advance.
I want to double click a encrypted dwg before start the CAD application. If the CAD application load the ARX before read the encrypted dwg file, the file opened successfully.

autocad 2004 and 2006 blocking on windows 10
Hallo , we were obligated to upgrade our windows to windows 10 , and ours autocad 2004 and autocad 2006 doesn't work correctly , we instaled the program using xp sp 3 compatibility mode the programs start but when we try to open a file the program stop working , when we tried to insert a image the program stop working , when we tried to insert a block the program stops working . Do someone have a solution to our issues ? we have 2 autocad 2004 et one 2006 and for what we do they are sufficient also an upgrade is to expensive for us .

Burst or explode a block in vb.net and retain text attributes

Overview:
I would like to explode or burst all blocks using VB.net (Visual Studio 2015) in either AutoCAD 2014 or AutoCAD 2015.
At the moment the "explode" command reverts all the text elements to their tag names and any repositioning of elements within a block, after it was inserted, is lost.
Effectively it gives you current saved block definition and you lose all the custom attributes entered when you insert the block. The "burst" command does not appear to be available as a method from vb.net although it may be possible through the "SendCommand" and performing a "BURST" on the current selected object.
But this would mean selecting the object in the drawing and this I cannot get to work.
A minor issue with the "BURST" command is it seems to default some of the "Line Types" to layer 0.
I have looked at "SelectionSets" for a document, but it is not clear how you add an object to a selection set.
Questions:
- Is there a method of doing a "BURST" using vb.net and retain all the attributes?
- Can a selection set be used by the "SendCommand" function?

fatal error unhandled access violation writing 0x0000 exception at 0h
i use autocad 2010 with windows10, i never get any problem before. but, yesterday when i want to open autocad suddenly its getting fatal error like this "fatal error unhandled access violation writing 0x0000 exception at 0h". i try to uninstall it and then install it again. but it still be the same. then i try to install autocad 2012 but i got the same result , "fatal error unhandled access violation writing 0x0000 exception at 0h"
how can i solve this problem?

This Ploter Configuration cannot be used - HP Designjet 4520
Installed AutoCAD 2016 on Windows 10 but get error when trying to print to HP Designjet plotter.
Have installed lates latest HP drivers to no avail.
Error message:
AutoCAD Warning
None: This plotter configuration cannont be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, the device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The None plot device has been substituted.

The dimensions are in CM but I want to change them to MM.
How do I do this, hate not to figure something so simple put my self but Im getting frustrated... :/

CANNOT DOWNLOAD AUTOCAD

I am a civil engineer and I'm trying to download Autocad (Civil 3D/Architecture) for the last one month. I tried all methods such as browser download, Install now and download now, but every time I cannot get it. The download is failing every time and I am disappointed by your service. I tried to download Autocad, Autocad architecture and Autocad Civil 3D (2015/2016) versions, but your service let me down.
I am disappointed that after meeting all requirements for this software, my laptop cannot have the luxury of Autocad(any version and type). It is getting failed at the last moments in browser download and doesn't performing well in other download methods. Can you please help me? I am ready to cooperate with you!

AutoCAD 2016 not opening after windows 10 update
Autocad 2016 won't open (neither by opening the program nor by opening a dwg file). The program will only open and get stuck in the loading process (see image attached)
This started just after a Windows 10 update on the 5th Jan 2016 (it worked perfectly on Windows 10 untill now).
After the update, when I turned on my computer, I would get an error message: msvcp110.dll and msvcr110.dll files missing. Not sure if that has something to do. However I managed to reinstall these, the message doesn't appear anymore but AutoCad still won't open.
I use Windows 10 64bits
Anyone in the same situation?
Any solutions?
