Point Cloud Clipping. One word; Painful!
I get the impression I should be able to draw a polygon and clip the PC. From a top view, in the world UCS as I drew, the actual polygon was created, mirroring my movements (a simple rectangle), but way off from my cursor. Because I saw it off in the corner of the viewport, I knew it was happening, just not aligned to my cursor. I could then move the handles and bring it into the PC and the clipping happened.
Now I want to be in a side view and chop the top half off. Should be easy. Drawing the polygon doesn't visually show anything and the PC disappears when I stop. I think it draws, just way off in space, where, I do not know. (I flip the ucs to be XY parallel to the plane I'm drawing in. Ortho Front in this case.)
Trying to drag the default clip box handles just makes the box shear off in a weird way....and the PC is gone.
It's just WAY TOO DIFFICULT. Should be slam-dunk easy.
I did scale the PC to get it from Recap's decimal meters to decimal feet (SF=0.3048). If that maybe wigged out the program.
Please make this work. It would really improve modeling from a PC in AutoCAD.
Thank you.
