Table cell events.

Hi all,

I'm using AutoCAD 2011 and I've newly taught myself Autolisp/visuallisp. I was wondering if it were possible to create a table that will update a text field (or mutiple text feilds) outside the table when I change the table cell. So basically I want to identify a single cell in a table and link it to text else where in my drawing so they can update together.  Please help.
