sudden mouse problems

I have a programmable Logitech mouse that I have assigned (through the mouse software) F8 and ESC to buttons.  It's worked for years, but all-of-a-sudden (days after the Win8.1 upgrade) it's stopped.

The buttons work outside of AutoCAD 2014.

When I moved the mouse to another computer, the buttons work with AutoCAD on that computer.

When I moved the mouse from the other computer to this computer, the programmable buttons don't work.

I have removed and reinstalled the drivers with out any noticable change.

I assume some settings changed themselves during a crash.   Any ideas?
