i am using 2012 version autocad right now and it's not working well to reference 3d dgn. is the 2013/2014 version fixed this problem?
the problem with our project is i am doing roads in autocad/civil 3d and other people doing the sites with microstation/inroads. the company's main platform is microstation and inroads. which i am not familiar with. i was hired to save them on a road project disaster and i did my job right on that one with civil 3d and everyone is happy. now i am on another big project but only using civil 3d for the roads. i would export dwg to dgn for those guys to reference. however i take their dgn and save as dwg for myself. many files i have to do that each time. but recently there are some communication problem and my drawing would be showing out of date sites. i proposed an option: simply each site designer after a major change replace my dwg xref. it will only take a second. however one guy here got all mad at me saying impossible, too much work. telling me to suck it up since company's main platform is dgn. pretty lousy team work with some people on this project. everything i propose is for the greater benefit. really annoying to work with some stubborn people like this.
