Text is moving when I exit text field

I'm using CAD MEP 2014, and when I enter a mtext field and then exit it by clicking outside the text box, the text jumps to the right just a little bit.  If I repeat the process, it jumps again.  I have centered the pick point and aligned the text to center because I want it to be centered within a box, but when I exit the text field, the text is no longer centered and I have no idea why this is happening.  This wasn't happening when I opened the project, then it started for no apparent reason.  I have saved and closed the program, and the issue continues.
