I typically use AutoCAD Map 3D 2015 which has a Display Manager that I frequently use. In this display manager I used the Data - Connect To Data feature to load a .std file containing contour lines. I saved the contours in this manner because the file size was way too big with the contours as a layer. This is a really efficient method of loading the contours for plotting.
The problem is that my boss has AutoCAD 2015, not Map 3D (wasn't aware of this) and he says that he doesn't have a display manager and therefore can't access/open the contour lines that should be there. Is there a way to load .std files to AutoCAD 2015? Google and the help files have been no help..
