Drawing an Arc

I am teaching mysel AutoCad and following a tutorial that I cant seem  to ger right.

 

The following are the instructions

 

1. On the ribbon, click Home tabLayers paneldown arrow on the

Layers drop-down listTop.

2. Right-click the Quick Access toolbar (located along the top of

AutoCAD to the right of the Menu Browser button) and choose

ToolbarsAutoCADDraw.

The Draw toolbar is displayed along the left side of AutoCAD.

3. On the Draw toolbar, click the Arc button.

The ARC command starts and the following prompt is displayed:

Specify start point of arc or [Center]:

4. At the prompt, hold down the Shift key and right-click.

5. On the Object Snap menu, choose Endpoint.

6. Position the cursor near the upper-right corner of the polyline that

you drew.

7. With the marker for the Endpoint active, click to pick the endpoint of

the line segment.

The following prompt is displayed:

Specify second point of arc or [Center/End]:

8. At the prompt, right-click the drawing window and choose End from

the shortcut menu to use the End point option.

The following prompt is displayed:

Specify end point of arc:

9. At the prompt, drag the crosshairs up. Then type 1 and press Enter.

The following prompt is displayed:

Specify center point of arc or [Angle/Direction/Radius]:

10. At the prompt, type D and press Enter to use the Direction option.

The following prompt is displayed:

Specify tangent direction for the start point of the arc:

11. At the prompt, type 0 and press Enter.

The arc is drawn and the ARC command ends.

 

From point 9 is where the problem begins.

 

When I type the D in the prompt enter 0 entre I get the following error message "Radius must be non zero

 

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
