Huge dillemma! AutoCAD crashed whilst I was in the 'Extrude Command', there were no symptoms evident prior to the program crashing for me to quickly copy the file as a 'just in case'.
The recovery manager shows the recovery file (however no preview is shown) and it states: "File not Valid"! I have tried restarting my imac and force quitting ACad to retreive. I am modelling in 3D and I'm aware these cases are common which is why I have gotten into the habit of quick saving every couple of minutes. However ACad won't open my saved file either!
Any assistance would be grealty appreciated... there is ALOT of detail in this drawing.. I can't afford to lose it :smileysad: Or if anyone can repair my file please let me know. I tried to attach the .dwg to this post but it won't submit my post with it.
I use: imac late 2012 and AutoCAD 2013 version. Command before crashing: I isolated an area to work on & was using Extrude Faces for editng an object. I do have a Bak file of the drawing too. Thank you
