ac1st16.dll problem

I run Autocad 2005 on my desktop which has a nice big screen and an A3 printer, but as I sometimes tidy up drawings at home I installed Draftsighton my laptop (Windows 7).

I got fed up with changing the format to be able to exchange files between computers and decided to put Draftsight on the desktop too.

Now I can't open R2005 or Draftsight and instead get the messge that ac1st16.dll is not a valid windows image.

I have uninstalled Draftsight, but the damage seems to have been done.

Sadly I can't find the original disk since we moved house, as a new install would have probably fixed it, so how do I get up and running again?

I'm a furniture designer/maker, and can't really justify the cost of Autocad now as the free programs would work for me, but having bought it on a whim while I was relatively well off, I'm miffed that I can't continue to use it.
