AutoCAD 2015 - Intel HD Graphics 3000 Compatibility

Hi,

 

I've installed AutoCAD 2015 and now working on it. I have issues with my graphics card - I've got Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 with following details from the Tuner Log (see below) I tried searching for updates for this graphics card and I failed to find.

 

Any help to get this card up and running for the new features in AutoCAD 2015.

Autocad lag after not being used for a while

Hi, I am continually having problems with Autocad lagging if it hasn't been used for a while. I am running Windows 7 64bit 12g ram. This has occurred with Autocad 2011 and 2014. using Resource Monitor I can see the harddrive being accessed repeatedly by; C:\Programdata\Fleznet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data and massive amounts of: \Device\harddisk0\DR0 This creates an enormous amount of lag unit this activity clears. This can either be 1min or up to 10min. I have scoured the internet but have never been able to find the problem. Changed graphics cards,drivers,ram etc updated to Autocad 2014 but no change. Any ideas welcome Cheers Steve

ACAD 2015 Badges, plus Stretch comment/complaint!

hi .......just got 2015 up and running.......I like most things, but I would like to turn off the move/copy/rotate badges.....I find them unnecessary....anyone know if this can be done?

 

......but my big peeve is that when stretching a line to be longer, you can see where the line is going....but when you stretch it to be shorter you don't know where the end of the line is!.... it disappears under the existing line that stays solid...this is visually very annoying...in ACAD 2013 the exist. line becomes dashed and you can see the solid line shrinking as you stretch.....

Work plane seetings issue

I drawing setting are Architect/ line 17,22.  (Drafting settings)Snap/ .125 in the x box and I press tab for the y box and it changes to 1/8" and the same thing happens when I input .25 for the Grid x and tab y It changes to 1/5". (this may not be exact but it's an example) Not sure if thats suppose to happen. When I start my plane drawing in pieces, I move the crosshair to the rt until I get the size (1/8) in fractions or feet and inches (1 1/2"). When I drag my mouse I get decimals (1.50000). In the turtorial example of the plane in pieces, each piece shows the measruements in fractions or in feet and inches. This has been throwing of my measurments and I not sure why.

HI, IT MAY JUST BE ME BUT I AM HAVING TROUBLE CREATING A VIEWPORT IN PAPER SPACE, WHEN USING ACLT 2015, I CAN CREATE A VIEW PORT FROM THE RIBBON AT THE TOP BUT WHEN I GO INTO MY CREATED LAYOUT IN PAPER SPACE THE RIBBON IS "INVISIBLE" IT WONT LET ME SELECT A VIEWPORT, CURRENTLY HAVING TO TYPE VIEWPORT INTO THE COMMAND, PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP ON THIS SUBJECT

Entry Point Not Found error when installing AutoCAD

When trying to install the 30 day trial version of AutoCAD2015 on my Windows 8 laptop, I receive an error message during setup titled:

 

"AutodeskInstallNow.exe - Entry Point Not Found"

The dialog box error message text says:

"The procedure entry point

?_Getcat@?$codecvt@DDH@std@@SAIPAPBVfacet@locale@2@PBV42@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library

C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_2015_English_Win32_64bit_wi_en-us\Setup\Lite HTML.dll."

 

Is there any way to fix this so I can complete the setup?

Layout Tabs

My company when we design in AutoCAD, we do all the drawings from Model space, in which we do not use the layout (paper space) tabs, is there anyway to keep AutoCAD from creating a tab every time one is deleted?

Paper Space acting like Model Space

So my trainee has CAD2014 and he was working on model space, clicked back to paper space and all the title block information, viewports, images were gone!! I was upset, made him so it again thinking he mistakenly deleted everything. Now an hr later it happens again!! I can click on all the lines drawn in model space as if they were drawn in paper space. NO viewport activated. NO title block, NOTHING is there but what is drawn in model space but being able to be manipulated via paper space with no vieport is weird. What the heck is going on?? Any one know? I feel with CAD it's always a toggle or simple command I need to input. If anyone has any idea what the heck it is please let me know.

AutoCAD Lt 2015 Crosshair/cursors disappears in viewports

Helloo!

 

Just uppgraded to AutoCAD Lt 2015. It looks fine, but there is one major bug: When I change to paperspace and double-clicks a viewport, the crosshair, pickboxes and all cursor-related items are totaly invisible.

This allso applies to lines, polylines and circles: they are unvisible while drawing them (in active viewport), but appears when the final click is done. But whitout seeing them it's hard to know where to place this 'final klick...

 

Very annoying....

Changing annotative scale deletes hatch

I'm currently using AutoCAD 2014. I have a floor plan already drawn and each individual room already has a seperate hatch created. What I would like to be able to do is somehow make the color of the hatch change to represent the percent completion of each room. I would ideally like to just be able to make an Excel spreadsheet that contains in column A the room title like Kitchen, Bath Room 1, Living Room, etc. and column B would contain the percent completion. So when I change column B from 20 to 30 the color updates. A couple different people will be imputting in to the spreadsheet which is why it I want it to be so simple. What would the best possible way to accomplish this be? My floor plan contains about 60 different spaces and would have about 10 different color to represent the percent completes. Should I first make all the the hatches for each room a seperate block with it's unique name to identify it? And should I also make each percent complete color a seperate layer? I'm not really sure how to go about this but I'm very much willing to learn. Have the ability to do something like this will be a great aide in the future.

Purge Civil proxy objects

Are there any tools within AutoCAD to purge out entites created in the Civil applications?


I get the 'proxy warning' even when there are no elements displayed in modelspace or paperspace. I want to do more than turn off the proxy notice, I want to actually cleanse my file of these entities.
