I have drawing-views (base and projected) that contain many objects.
Each object in the drawing-views is included in it's own layer and each layer has it's own lineweight.
As the drawing views made, MD_Visible layer occurs and it has it's lineweight.
I want the objects in my drawing-views to have various lineweights related to the objects.
I use Named Plot Style by layer.
I find that the object lineweights which are applied to the object layer do not appear in the drawing-views. The drawing-views have only one value, that is the value of MD_Visible lineweight.
Any one can help me?

MNL File in AutoCAD 2014
We have always loaded our menu (we can use MYMENU.MNU for example) with an associated .MNL file...For example MYMENU.MNU -> MYMENU.MNL.....The MNL File loads some "menu specific coade" and gets loaded when the Menu (MNU) is loaded.....This has always worked up until AutoCAD 2014.......In 2014, after Loading MENU...then later launching AutoCAD...I get this error messsage every time:
"File Loading - Security Concern"
An executable file was found outside of .....blah...blah...blah....
C:\MENU\MYMENU.mnl
Make sue that this file comes from a trusted source....blah...blah...blah....
Load.......Do Not Load.....Help
Are my options....
Obviously...the handling of MNL files has changed in AutoCAD 2014....Can anybody tell me what I need to do....I am in a mad rush to send our program to another office....

Stop acad2012.lsp from being loaded on every drawing
Hi!
I have the following files and i know that this is the files that AutoCAD will find first:
acad2012.lsp
acad.lsp
acad2012doc.lsp
acaddoc.lsp
When ACADLSPASDOC variable is set to 0 I expect that acad2012.lsp and acad.lsp should only be loaded when AutoCAD starts.
That´s not the case thou...
acad.lsp will not load more than once but acad2012.lsp is always loaded into every drawing.
Shouldn´t acad2012.lsp and acad.lsp go hand in hand, either be none or it will load both?
Is there some other setting I don´t know about?

Fatal Error While Trying to Import Layout from Autocad Design Center
I keep getting a fatal error whenever I try to import a layout from one drawing to another via Autocad Design Center. It was working fine yesterday. Does anyone know what's going on?

3d model conceptual view - how can I make my text display properly?
Hi,
I am using AutoCAD 2014 and trying to get started with 3D modeling. I have created a 3D model by using the Revolve command to sweep a 2D path around an axis. My 3D model looks sort of like a barbell - a narrow shaft in the middle with two cylindrical weights on each side. I wanted to put some text on the sides of the weights. I used the DTEXT command and I made sure the Z coordinate for my text is not "behind" the weight I am trying to label. I have an Isometric view setup for my 3D model with the Visual Style set to 'Conceptual'. In this view, my text is "outlined" in the color corresponding to the layer I placed the text on, but it is "filled" with a darker shade. I can read the text ok on my computer screen, but when I print to my monochrome printer, it is very difficult to read. I'd like to find out if/how I can make my text appear in the 'Conceptual' Visual Style with the same color for its outline and its fill. For this particular drawing, I would like these both to be white.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Shifting Viewport when printing
Hello,
I have AutoCAD 2015 installed. When I prepare my drawing to print, everything is evenly evenly lined up and good to go. When I print, whether to PDF or to the printer, the whole image shifts down and to the left. It seems as though the margins change and the origin is the bottom right corner.
Once I go back to the drawing, it has shifted down. This usually means I have to reset the title block and try again. I have no idea why it's happening and couldn't find anything online.
I just got AutoCAD 2015 but was using LT 2014 before. Same problems happened.

How to average complex 3D splines?
So I have 10 complex 3D splines and they are all similar in shape but not exact. Is there a way to somehow converge all of my splines into one average spline?

Where to download Autocad 2014 to get around XP incompatibility?
My Hard Drive recently crashed.
We have to use Windows XP 32-bit due to hardware limitations within the office.
AutoCAD 2015 is not compatible with Windows XP.
Where can we get a link to a 32 bit download of Autocad 2014 to solve this problem? We understand it was the last XP Compatible version of AutoCAD.

2015 - Layer Properties Manager dialog does not show layers
After using ACAD for a while, I will get this when I click to open the "Layers Properties Manager" panel. Notice how the panel is hosed and does not show the layers.
I can close ACAD and it works correctly for awhile but eventually it will go back to this.
Can't figure out what triggers it or how to correct it. I was using ACAD 2013 on this system and never saw this issue.
Any clues?

Add delete Scales
Hi,
I can't see my Add delete Scales window or when I need to edit a block I can't see my window. So I can't see most of the windows used for edit things.
Does anyone know about how to fix this issue. I'm using AutoCAD 2014.

Custom Isometric Linetype
Hello everyone,
For the past two weeks I am trying to create a custom Isometric (ISO) Linetype.
I'm working with Autocad 2012 and I've made a custom Complex Linetype like the "HOT_WATER_SUPPLY" line type.
But I cannot make it in an Isometric layer.
Is that even possible to make in a coordinate system?

Automatic Hidden lines
Lets say I have a rectangle with a line passing through it and this line is suppose to be behind the rectangle. Is there a way to have AutoCAD recognize this line is behind this rectangle and make the correct portion of the line a hidden line? I want the line to remain in 1 peice, not 3 (left of rectangle, inside rectangle, right of rectangle).
(All in 2D)

How to become Autocad drafter.
Hello.I'm working on printing industry by using some photoshop, illustrator and indesign. So what I'm doing is
not related to this. But, I'm interested in becoming an Autocad drafter. I have no experience and just doing self study.
Actually, I tried finding out some course in Architecture and Cad drafting. Unfortunately, the course is using different
type of CAD. I could find some course related to Autocad, but they are only a few times and the cost is very expensive.
Also, the time table doesn't match with my working. As a result, I decided to study and prepare the certification exam
by my self. At this stage, I have some question.
1. Is it possible to get a certificate by self study? Some of course I found out is designed to get a certificate. \
That's what they said.
2. Is there any website or book so that I can have a look the sample of exam? I've got some books. But the aim is to describe
the function and just put the mark as certification objet on it.
3. If I get a certificate, is it possible to get a job? I mean this is with out any taking course or experience.
How much advantage do I have if I have a certificate?
4. Is there any method to get apprenticeship by oneself?
