Hi,
I have an autocad file in which I have used some .pdf file which is attached in the background as reference and the modification which I had to show I have drawn in Cad . I have to take the print for the same in such a way that the pdf file attached in the drawing appears light and the other things I have drawn should appear dark. Can anyone guide how to give the pen assignment to the attached pdf file or make it appear light. (I have no native file for the pdf)

I just installed Autocad 2015 and I got this problem at once.
Every time something is selected or a command is active the crosshair (coursor) starts multiplying on screen and blocks the view of the drawing.
The lines created dissapear after a zoom or pan.
Is this some setting that I have on or a problem that I have with compatibyliti with my computer.
This are my computer and grafic card details:

Hello, I have the students license for Autocad 2014, it was operating well, but today I try opened, and first it is loading the program, but then nothing, the introduction disappeared, and when I tried to uninstall it, appears a legend that said it is impossible because the archive acad.exe is opened.
I am a polar tracker user instead of ortho. I am finding I have to reset my polar tracking on every drawing I open. In prior versions it didn't matter if I open and closed drawings all day, my polar tracking would always stay on and my ortho off unless I needed it. Is this the norm now or can you fix this?
AutoCad Version 2012, In the last couple days, AutoCad is not snapping to non of the object snaps. Under drafting setting, all the object snap modes are selected, but i cannot snap to anything while using AutoCad.

What is the folder path on a Windows 7 OS based PC for the location of AutoCAD 2013's icon folder? I plan to use a few of these to create new icons for new commands and have them available on our network linked to tool palette tools. What are the icon's suffix type, BMP, JPG. PNG, etc.?

First... I'm "very new" in this topic, so excuse me if I ask "wrong questions".
I have a design with more 3d objects (sub-parts) and I would like to identify where (if there are any) the solids are intersecting each other.

Of course that I could make an intersection and I would get the result, but there are a lot of objects (for me) and I would need to make a copy, and to see if I have results ... and is not so straightforward.
the question is: Is there any option to identify this situations?

Actually, have 2 questions here:
1. Is there any way to combine text with parametric constraints? Or blocks?
2. I have some parametric .dwg, and when I draw dimensions, after updating some parameters from parameters manager, I need to reassociate dimensions. I tried to set them to be associative, but sometimes that working, sometimes don't.
AutoCAD 2014 - Program is not accepting typing, just a blinking curser at the command line. Pull downs are enabling commands but the cursor doesn't let you pick or do anything.

Sheet set created by ACAD 2015 will not display the Sheet Set Properties menu in ACAD 2014. With the sheet set manager open, we can select the sheet set, right click, and select properties.... But nothing pops up. No window. Nothing. Same thing goes for the Sheet Properties.
Suggestions?
Hi All!
I’m trying to convert a .dwg into a geo-located .shp file, so as a preliminary step I am geo-locating the file in AutoCAD using the GEOGRAPHICLOCATION command and then converting the file through ArcGIS.
Now I save the file with a geographic position 'embedded', but a .prj file is not generated which means the geolocation is not recognised in ArcGIS. The only reason I know it should be is because when this in testing this out yesterday, a .prj file was saved when the .dwg was saved. Then when I imported the .dwg into ArcGIS, it recognised a location. Otherwise it errors out.
Are these .prj files interchangeable based on the mapping grid system, or are they specific to the geographic marker?

Can anyone help me whats wrong with above piece of code. Every time pImageDef->setSourceFileName(fileName); returns eFileAccessErr (72).
I just compleated a floorplan ( using M-Lines as walls) and accidentially used the wromg multiline thickness can this be adjusted in a batch edit?
When selecting a group of objects to rotate them not all objects are moving. Tried a number of times and cannot see why any of the ones not moving are different
I just draw a rectangle & a simple line as a path for extruding, but fail. It shows "Unable to extrude the selected object."
BUT Sucess on the path length within 100000 unit, acad limitation?

Hello everybody, first sorry for my poor english.
I have a question with STRETCH command and how deselect GROUP in AutoCAD 2015
Suppose you want to STRETCH a group, when you select the GROUP with CROSSING you select other entities from another GROUP.
When I try to deselect the second GROUP I need to select all entities individualy.
How can Pick only one entity of the GROUP and this action pick all entities of this GROUP.
I tried to change all PICK* variable but I can't find the right setup.
Please help me.

Can i have a "stretch" action tied to a "linear" parameter that is automatically triggered by a selected "visibility" parameter?
For example see the attached png. A visibility state named "1 Text" would include the rectangle and only the text "TEXT01" and a visibility state named "2 Text" would include the same rectangle and only the text "TEXT02." However, if the users selects VS "2 Text" the bottm of the rectange should stretch so that it has the same relationship to TEXT02 as it did originally with TEXT01.
